Now before you do anything you will need to use the Quicken for PC program to build the QIF file then move it to the external drive and copy it to your Mac otherwise the Quicken for Mac will not be able to open the data as it has to be a QIF file that is prepared for the transfer for the Mac version of the software to be able to read it.
If your business is switching from the personal financial management program Quicken to the more business-oriented program QuickBooks, moving your data between the two programs normally involves using an intermediate file format called Quicken Transfer Format, or QFX. However, Quicken for Mac cannot import this format; it can import the Quicken Online Bank Statement Format, or QBO.
To get around this issue, use the 30-day free trial period of a commercial software that can convert the two file formats.
